BIOGRAPHY

Celina Schmidt (*1989, Constance) is a Berlin-based director, concept creator and graphic artist, working across video, film and TV.

She studied Audiovisual Media (Bachelor of Engineering) at Stuttgart Media University, completed a Master of Arts in Filmmaking at the Manchester School of Art, and has been furthering her education in Directing at the renowned German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB) since 2018, supported by the Horizont Foundation's Young Talent Scholarship. She has also completed continuing Theatre Education programs at the German Association for Theatre Education and the University of the Arts, Berlin.

As a director and concept writer, Celina has been responsible for the creative execution of numerous corporate films, reports, and interview shoots for clients such as ARTE, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the German Energy Agency, and the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

She has also led the script development and visualization for over 500 explainer videos, for brands like IKEA, Daimler, Deutsche Bahn, Sparkasse, Telekom, Aldi, Caritas, Siemens, HelloFresh, Volkswagen, and many more.

Her fictional short films have been featured and awarded at international festivals.

As a graphic artist, she contributed prop designs to various TV series and feature film productions, for broadcasters such as SWR and rbb.

Celina has extensive leadership experience. For two years, she worked as a Unit Manager at an international video agency, overseeing a team of 30 in-house and freelance concept writers, working students, trainees and interns across two locations. She regularly leads film crews, coordinates group trips worldwide, and facilitates creative workshops in her own art studio which she founded in 2025.
